Verizon Unveils New Logo and Streaming Specials for Home Internet

Verizon is shaking things up with a fresh look and new customer perks. The telecommunications giant has revealed a redesigned logo and new programs to enhance customer experience.

New Logo Reflects Creativity Behind Internet Entertainment Offerings

The new logo features a bold red “V" with a warm glow, replacing the familiar checkmark that has represented Verizon for years. This change is part of a larger rebranding effort to showcase Verizon as more than just a wireless provider.

“We want to make the invisible, visible," said Leslie Berland, Verizon’s Chief Marketing Officer. She explained that while Verizon plays a crucial role in people’s lives, much of what the company does happens behind the scenes. “The new logo…pulls inspiration from the company’s heritage while infusing the energy, vibrancy, and experience of life powered by everything Verizon offers,” Berland said.

Streaming Discounts Available with New “myHome" Program

Alongside the visual refresh, Verizon introduced “myHome," a program that brings together internet and entertainment options for home users.

Customers can now add popular streaming services like a Disney bundle (including Disney Plus, Hulu, and ESPN Plus) or a Netflix/Max bundle to their home internet package for just $10 per month each. That price is 40-47% savings off current retail prices for the services. YouTube Premium is also available at the discount price, and Apple One will be coming soon.

With no required contracts for the streaming services, customers will be able to stop and start their channel subscriptions at any time. And the “myHome” plan is open to all Verizon home internet customers through Verizon Fios, 5G, or LTE.

This move puts Verizon in direct competition with cable internet and TV providers who also offer streaming bundles.

Sowmyanarayan Sampath, CEO of Verizon’s Consumer Group, emphasized the company’s focus on flexibility and value. “Choose all, choose nothing, choose one of them – we’re good with it," he said, referring to the new entertainment options.

Mobile Phone Trade-In Gives Full Value Even with Cracked Screens

For mobile customers, Verizon has expanded its trade-in program. Now, users can trade in any Samsung, Google, or Apple smartphone, regardless of its condition, and receive guaranteed value across all unlimited plan tiers. This offer applies even to devices with cracked screens or weak batteries.

Free Passes to Sports Events and Special Access to Movies, Concerts

The company also launched “Verizon Access," a rewards program offering exclusive perks to customers. The rewards program works through the My Verizon app. Rewards include presale tickets to concerts, free passes to sporting events, and VIP experiences at movie premieres.

The Verizon Access program is open to all myHome customers and to mobile customers on myPlan, the equivalent program for mobile subscribers.

Verizon Business Gets a New Concierge Smartphone Management Service

Verizon Business customers weren’t left out of the updates. The company introduced “Verizon Business Complete," a comprehensive smartphone management solution for corporate clients. This service covers everything from device setup to recycling.

Rebranding Will Showcase Verizon as Lifestyle Brand

The rebranding effort extends beyond just a new logo. Verizon plans to update its retail stores, website, and mobile apps over the coming years to reflect its new identity. The company aims to position itself as central to how people “live, work, and play."

As journalist Mark Wilson notes in Fast Company, “Verizon is effectively reframing itself as a media company, or something akin to that, even though its core business is still wireless infrastructure."

These changes come as Verizon faces increased competition in the wireless market. By expanding into entertainment and enhancing customer benefits, the company hopes to retain existing customers and attract new ones.

Verizon’s CEO, Hans Vestberg, framed these updates as part of the company’s ongoing evolution. “We never stop pushing the industry forward and delivering more value to all of our customers," Vestberg stated.

As the telecommunications landscape continues to shift, Verizon’s latest moves signal its intent to remain a dominant player.
