Shaun Prescott commented after his game testing, “As big as the preview area was, I was frequently told by Bandai Namco that I was at risk of going out of bounds of the permitted play area." This play test suggests that the final release will offer even more content for players to sink their teeth into.

Shadow of the Erdtree will be released as a standalone DLC for $39.99, with various bundled options available for those who have yet to purchase the base game. The expansion will be available on all platforms that Elden Ring was released for, including PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
